Absentee Policy
The Office of Banks and Real Estate requires that you be present for no less than 90% of all required hours. All students are made aware of class dates and times in advance. Students are expected to be present and on time for all class sessions.
Test Failure
Students who fail a course exam will have the opportunity to review the areas in which they are deficient. The student can then re-test at no additional cost.
Payment Policy
American Institute of Appraisal & Real Estate Education, Inc. accepts checks, money orders, cashiers checks, credit cards, debit cards, and cash payments prior to the start of class. On the day class starts, all monies must be verified as paid. Any unpaid balance must be paid with money order, cashiers check, or cash prior to the start of class.
Personal checks will be accepted up until seven days prior to the start of class, subject to verification of funds.
Refund Policy
Similar to colleges and other institutions of higher learning, AIAREE has the following policy:
- If you cancel seven days or more prior to the start of the course, a $75 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund.
- If you begin class participation and then choose to stop attending, no refund will be given for that course, however if you have paid for other courses which have not yet begun a refund for the those course will be given upon your written cancellation seven days prior to start date.
- If you are a "no show" there is no refund. However, with a new $75 registration fee, we will give you full credit toward another AIAREE course.
Cancellation Policy
AIAREE reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or postpone classes if the need arises. If this situation occurs, we will contact students by phone (you are responsible to keep your current phone number on file with us), as early as possible before the change occurs. Make-up sessions will be scheduled and students will be notified by the end of the next business day. If we cancel a course prior to the start date of the course, the student will have the option to register in the new course, or 100% refund will be issued, with no deduction for a cancellation fee. We will strive to keep class dates and times intact. We are dedicated to providing quality service, and appreciate your trust.
Courses are scheduled and held with a 15 student minimum. If less than 15 students register for a course, the course may be re-scheduled to a later date.
Suggestion: Advance registration is the best way to ensure a class will be held!
Course Registration means our staff has registered your student information and your payment has been made for the class. For students who want to guarantee a seat & book you must register 7-10 in advance so we order the correct amount of books. For those who do not register a week in advance there is no guarantee of a seat or book. Students may register on the day of class providing there are extra seats and books available and this is done on a first come first serve basis.
